Haematology:  Candidates were asked to describe abnormalities and potential aetiologies, and provide suggestions regarding management. Material presented included a hypochromic microcytic anaemia, post-splenectomy changes, a microangiopathic haemolytic anaemia and a leukoerythroblastic blood film.

Sixteen out of twenty-eight candidates passed this section.
